The Drolls were formed in Moseley, Birmingham in 2018, dedicated to creating and performing great songs, both originals and covers. On this occasion, the band are led by the amazingly talented Tilly Clark, with experienced multi-instrumentalists Tauny, Chris, Steve and Alex, to create a powerful and emotional sound ranging from upbeat melodies through to slower ballads, spine-tingling folk and blues songs. With the accompaniment of tenor guitar, fiddle, and shruti box, her songs exude heartfelt emotion and vivid imagery, drawing inspiration from her passion for the nocturnal heavens, the natural world, and her journey through motherhood. |

She is also one half of the much-loved Yorkshire folk duo O’Hooley & Tidow together described by The Guardian as ‘exceptional songwriters.’ The duo have been propelled into newfound fame for penning the theme tune to Sally Wainwright’s hit BBC1/HBO drama ‘Gentleman Jack’, earning them global admiration, an acting role for Belinda on the iconic TV drama Happy Valley, and concerts that sell out months in advance. |
