Red Lion Folk Club Wednesday Nov 1st |
Bob Fox |
We are delighted to welcome Bob Fox back to the Red lion. He is one of the north-east's finest singers and musicians having duo'd with Tom McConville, Stu Luckley (Hedgehog Pie) and Billy Mitchell (Lindisfarne). He was the Songman in the National Theatre's production of WarHorse and with Jez Lowe, Billy Mitchell and Benny Graham, formed The Pitmen Poets. Bob has been nominated twice as Folk Singer of the Year at the year at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. ... as soon as I heard Bob Fox sing I realised he must have one of the best voices in England, … an artist of great ability and integrity (Ralph McTell). If you haven’t heard Bob before come! If you have you’ll be here. |
